My parents Alma mater Olivet Nazarene University, a school that holds a special place in my heart is now famous on line, for beer pong. ONU is a Christan school and do not allow alcohol, however that didn’t stop some ONU guys from starting a “Sober Beer Pong Team” and becoming youtube sensations. Check out the video…

The Time Closet

The other day I went and saw a movie made by a guy at WKU who I know. One day one of his good friends from Frankin, TN decided to make a movie. It took them a year. The final product is called the Time Closet. He was the DOP and his other friend was the director writer and producer.

Kentucky Derby

The picture of the day is of my roommate and good friend Luke Sharrett just got his credential for the Kentucky Derby. He is going to be assisting Sports Illustrated photographer Bill Frakes.

(If you can’t tell, the credential says 135th Kentucky Derby, and at the bottom, Luke Sharrett, Sports Illustrated.)

Yesterday the WKU Art department had some guys who were part of Drive By Press. Drive By Press is a team of two guys who travel the country with their printing press doing print demonstrations and showing art work. They have the biggest collection of prints in the country. Check out their website to see if they are coming near you.

For a drawing assingment the class was asked to take an artist and do a self portrait in the style of one of their works. I chose Milton Glaser. He did a design of Bob Dylan for Time Magazine a while back. Here is the original. I will be posting my final product later tonight when I finish it.

Hanging High, Hitting Hard, and Hunting Treasure

To continue my iphone photo of the day I am going to throw a few out there.

I spent saturday hanging out with my friend Bryan. He hung up his ENO Hammock outside on campus. After realizing how hungry we were, we went to a local greek restaurant for some gyros and then to the batting cages to release some energy. We were quickly put to shame by some girls in the fast pitch softball cage.

The end of the night resulted in a mad treasure hunt for Geocaches. Geocaching is a high tech treasure hunt using GPS (or iPhones) to find a little treasure hidden around your local area. The Geocaches have a list of people who have found them, and little trinkets inside. There are almost 100 around the Bowling Green area. Here are some of the random iPhone photos from that night.
